The Douglas County Fair, since 1888, is a program of the Douglas County Agriculture Association. While being the 10th largest fair in Minnesota, it is also the best attended fair in the region. The year's schedule is packed full of events, entertainment and food! So come out with your friends and family and make memories at the fair. New this year… Energy Park

Displays of energy related products of interest to homeowners, businesses and installers. Roundtable question and answer sessions, facilitated by a design expert in the energy field, will be held in the Energy Park tent. Topics will focus on wind energy, solar power, geothermal heating and cooling, ethanol, biodiesel, heat pumps, plenum heating, etc. Manufacturers’ representatives will be available, along with area legislators, to provide the latest in eco-friendly alternative energy strategies. There will also be staff present from the Alexandria Technical College to provide information on their new Renewable Energy degree program. The roundtable schedule is: Thursday, Aug. 20 from 1:30 to 3 p.m.; Friday, Aug. 21 from 3 to 4:30 p.m.; and Saturday, Aug. 22 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
